Mr. Bristow has held various executive leadership
positions with First Citizens since joining the
bank in 1991.
In 2001, he was named president and chief operating officer of First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, Inc.
Responsibilities
The bank's Regional Executive Vice Presidents,
Chief Credit Officer, Retail Banking Executive,
Chief Information Officer and Corporate Real
Estate Director all report directly to Bristow.
He is responsible for day-to-day management of all line functions for the company, including retail, commercial and small business banking for all 190 branches in South Carolina and Georgia. He also is responsible for companywide operations, including Information Technology and Corporate Real Estate.
In addition, he oversees the bank's Wealth Advisory Group, which includes private banking and First Citizens Securities, the bank's in-house broker dealer.
Bristow serves on the Board of First Citizens Bancorporation, Inc., and on the Board's Executive Committee.

in South Carolina.
