11/27/2013 11:19:57 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (November 27, 2013) – Like his beloved Carolina Panthers, a Charleston man has defied the odds and won.

He scored a $100,000 prize on the Carolina Panthers scratch-off game and collected his winnings the same day his Panthers upset the Patriots on Monday Night Football.

“I sat back and enjoyed that game,” he said, thankful for the Panthers improbable string of victories and a little luck of his own.

“This is as good as it gets,” he said.

As of this release, three top prizes of $100,000 remain in the $5 Carolina Panthers game. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 432,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Rivers Mart in North Charleston received a commission of $1,000.

Entry deadline for a drawing to win a $250 Carolina Panthers Gift Card is Thursday, December 5. Winners will be announced Thursday, December 12.
