COLUMBIA, SC (April 3, 2017) – A Shelby, NC, mom may have experience playing the Lottery, but her daughter has all the luck.

Mom’s been buying tickets for years and was surprised when her daughter, who never plays, decided to buy a ticket. And, that ticket won the daughter $250,000.

Mom’s reaction: “It makes me so mad,” she said with a smile.

The mother and daughter both bought lottery tickets at the 7-Eleven on Hwy 29 in Blacksburg and scratched them sitting in their car in the store’s parking lot.

They sat in the car for an hour after the daughter scratched off her quarter-of-a-million dollar win on the Elegant Cash ticket. Mom broke out in a sweat when she heard. The daughter was busy daydreaming.

“It was awesome,” the daughter said.

One top prize of $250,000 remains in the $10 Elegant Cash game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, 7-Eleven #36839H in Blacksburg received a commission of $2,500.
