COLUMBIA, SC (April 13, 2017) – A Fort Mill lottery winner needs a realtor.
She’s taking her $25,000 a year for life Lucky for Life win and going house hunting.
“Besides my wedding day, this is the happiest day of my life,” she said.
The winner chose the one-time cash payment of $390,000 over the $25,000 a year for LIFE prize.
“I haven’t slept since checking the ticket,” she said.
It was after midnight when she discovered the ticket she bought while grocery shopping at the Food Lion #2204 in Fort Mill was a winner. The ticket matched the first five numbers drawn 13, 34, 36, 41, and 43 but missed the Lucky Ball number “7” in the Monday, April 10, 2017 drawing.
“I told myself I was going to win it when I bought the ticket,” she said. “I’m blessed.”
The odds of winning $25,000 a year for life are 1 in 1,813,028.
For selling the winning Lucky for Life ticket, the Food Lion #2204 in Fort Mill received a $3,900 commission once it was claimed.
Lucky for Life is a multi-state game offered in 23 jurisdictions. Tickets cost $2 with drawings on Mondays and Thursdays. In addition to the $25,000 a year for life prize, players can also win $1,000 a day for life.
