No Winner, Powerball® Jackpot a Cool $650 Million
8/21/2017 9:08:22 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (August 21, 2017) – With no winner in Saturday night’s Powerball® drawing, Wednesday’s draw just got a lot more interesting.

Someone stands to win a whopping $650 million and lay claim to the second-largest Powerball® jackpot ever offered.

That’s a $411 million cash payout for whoever can overcome odds of 1 in 293 million.

The Education Lottery urges players to play smart by playing responsibly and to safeguard your prize by signing the back of your ticket.

In Saturday night’s drawing more than 70,000 players in South Carolina won prizes from $4 up to $2 million.

Ticket sales leading up to Wednesday’s drawing are expected to be strong nationally, meaning the jackpot will likely loom even larger as the drawing nears.

Wednesday’s Powerball® jackpot is the largest seen since Powerball’s® record $1.5 billion jackpot in January of 2016.

Tickets for Wednesday’s $650 million jackpot are available at lottery retailers statewide. Tickets cost $2, and in South Carolina must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. for Wednesday’s 10:59 p.m. drawing.

Good luck, South Carolina! Please Play Responsibly!
