COLUMBIA, SC (December 15, 2017) – While at work a St. George man got a call from the Lottery that he won $1 million in a second-chance promotion he had previously entered his non-winning tickets in.

He remained at work the rest of the day stunned by his good fortune.

The gentleman is planning to pay off his debt and buy a new house.

“This is going to be the best Christmas ever,” the millionaire proclaimed.

He won $1 million on Tuesday when a non-winning ticket he’d entered online through the Lottery’s Players’ Club was selected from the more than 544,000 entries received in the My Million Dollar Series Second-Chance Promotion. Learn more about Players’ Club online at www.sclottery.com.

“At first I asked myself ‘Why me? How did I win this?’” said the millionaire. “Then I came to realize there is a reason I earned this. Everything in life has a purpose.”

The winner said he will always be thankful for that life changing opportunity he received from the Lottery.
