Jackpots Soar into 2018

COLUMBIA, SC (January 2, 2018) – Over the next two nights, lottery players will have a chance at a rich start to 2018. Tonight Mega Millions® draws for $361 million. Tomorrow night Powerball® draws for $440 million.

Up first, Mega Millions® draws tonight at 11.

Tickets are $2 and must be purchased by 10 p.m. South Carolina has yet to produce a Mega Millions® jackpot win. For that to happen, the winner must overcome odds of 1 in about 303 million and can choose between a cash option of $225 million or an annuity worth $361 million.

For $2, players can try their luck at Wednesday’s $440 million Powerball® jackpot with a cash value of $278 million. Our state has sold seven Powerball® jackpot winning tickets. The odds of winning it all are long at about 1 in 293 million. Tickets must be purchased by 9:59 Wednesday night.
