Besties Share $1 MILLION Powerball® Win
1/30/2018 10:18:50 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (January 30, 2018) – A Powerball® ticket worth $1 million sold earlier this month in North Charleston was cashed in yesterday by two good friends.

The winners, who do not wish to be identified, found out yesterday morning they’d won.

One of the fellows happened upon the winning ticket purchased from The Spinx #351 on W. Montague Ave. in North Charleston in his girlfriend’s car, where it had been in the cup holder for 23 plus days.

The ticket for the drawing on Saturday, January 6 matched the first five white ball numbers drawn (12, 29, 30, 33, 61 and PB: 26). Had the winners spent the extra $1 for PowerPlay®, the prize would have been $2 million.

The odds of winning $1 million playing Powerball® are about 1 in 11.7 million.

For selling the claimed ticket, The Spinx #351 received a commission of $10,000.

The Powerball® jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is an estimated $127 million.

Good luck, South Carolina!
