$458 Million Mega Millions® Jackpot is Fourth Largest
3/27/2018 2:36:57 PM

COLUMBIA, SC (March 27, 2018) – Tonight’s Mega Millions® drawing is for an estimated $458 million, the fourth-largest jackpot in the history of Mega Millions®, and the eleventh-largest seen in North America.

The winner will have a choice between a cash payout of $274 million or the full jackpot amount paid in 30 payments of about $14 million each.

Players in South Carolina hope that decision falls to one of their own, making for South Carolina’s first Mega Millions® jackpot win.

The run up to the $400 million+ jackpot began in January and has rolled 22 times without a winner.

Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 303 million. The odds of winning any Mega Millions® prize are approximately 1 in 24.

Mega Millions is played in 46 jurisdictions (44 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands).

South Carolinians looking to take a chance on the $458 million jackpot, must purchase their $2 tickets by 10 p.m. for the 11 p.m. drawing.

Good luck, South Carolina!

Please, play responsibly!
