Mega Millions® Draws for $405 MILLION Tonight

COLUMBIA, SC (October 5, 2018) – Tonight, someone could win $405 million in the Mega Millions® lottery. The prize is the eighth largest in game history.

The winner can elect to take a cash option of $235 million or the annuity, the full $405 million paid out in one immediate payment and annual graduated payments for 29 years.

South Carolinians wanting to take a chance on tonight’s drawing must purchase tickets by 10 p.m. for the 11 p.m. drawing.

Mega Millions® tickets cost $2 and are available at lottery retailers statewide.

Players can purchase the Megaplier® for an extra $1 to see their non-jackpot winnings multiplied by the Megaplier® number selected.

The odds of winning the jackpot are long, 1 in 302,575,350.

In Tuesday’s drawing, a ticket worth $30,000 was sold in Duncan. Nationally, the Mega Millions® game produced more than 1 million winners for that single draw.
