Columbia Man Can Check “Win $250,000” Off His To-Do List

COLUMBIA, SC (May 14, 2019) – A Columbia couple is crossing items off their to-do list after the husband scratched off a $250,000 lottery win.

The husband purchased the winning ticket from the SKS Mart Inc. on Decker Blvd. in Columbia and brought the ticket right home to show his wife.

“Tell me what you see?” he asked her.

Only the bottom row of the Money Plus ticket was scratched and the only prize revealed was $250,000. She answered her husband’s question with one of her own.

“Did you just win $250,000?” she asked.

His answer was, “Yes.”

“When I saw $250 and the zeros were still coming, I didn’t scratch anymore,” he told lottery officials in Columbia when he cashed in the ticket. “When I won, I could see all the things I’ve needed to get done, getting done.”

Four top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $10 Money Plus game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, SKS Mart Inc. in Columbia received a commission of $2,500.
