How to Play Mega Millions®
Mega Millions® is a multi-state jackpot game. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. During the drawing, six numbers are drawn: five white ball numbers and the gold Megaball® number. Matching all six numbers wins the jackpot. There are eight other ways to match and win prizes from $10 up to $10 million. Each play costs $5. The Multiplier feature is now included where players can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x.
Changes to Mega Millions®
Tickets for the new and improved Mega Millions game are on sale now and cost $5.
Bigger jackpots—the starting jackpot is increasing to $50 million, up from $20 million. Mega Millions estimates the average jackpot win will be more than $800 million compared to the current $450 million.
Better odds—the odds of winning the jackpot is improving to 1 in 290 million from 1 in 302 million.
A built-in multiplier—every non-jackpot win will multiply its base prize by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x. Prizes in the new game will range from $10 to $10 million versus the $2 to $1 million now.
More big wins—the new game is going to create more billionaires and millionaires as the jackpot grows. And players will win a minimum of $10, not $2, on every winning ticket!
1 Pick your numbers
Select five different numbers from 1 to 70 in the left side play area and one “Megaball®” number from 1 to 24 in the right side play area of the play slip. Use one panel (PLAY A - PLAY E) for each desired play. Each play costs $5.
2 Quick Pick
If you prefer having any or all of your numbers selected at random by the terminal, mark the “QUICK PICK” box for each play. All plays and play options selected on the play slip will be valid for the specified draw only.
3Built in Multiplier
Every Mega Millions® play includes a built-in, randomly generated multiplier to increase non-jackpot wins by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x. The randomly selected multiplier will print on the ticket next to each play. Each multiplier has its own frequency for selection.
4 Multi-draws
Play up to 20 consecutive draws by marking the appropriate box under “MULTI-DRAW OPTION.” Each consecutive draw will cost $5 per draw. NOTE: Multi-draw selections will be consecutive from the draw date requested.
5 Sign the Back of the Ticket
Upon purchase, SIGN the ticket back and SECURE your ticket. Check your selections to make sure they are correct. Player is solely responsible for verifying all selections on the ticket. PRINTED MEGA MILLIONS® TICKETS CANNOT BE CANCELED.
DO NOT ERASE. If you make an error, mark the "VOID PLAY" box over the selected play. You must be 18 years of age to play.
