Studio-on-Main is a multi-camera, high-definition studio designed to host guests for live broadcasting. With digital fiber connectivity, the versatile, on-call facility is located just blocks away from the State Capital and the University of South Carolina. Studio-On-Main provides transmission and production support for:
- High Definition Digital Fiber connectivity through Encompass
- ‘Insert’ studio for live shot production
- Tape roll location for machine playback
- Corporate teleconferencing
- Dedicated digital fiber switch / loop to local affiliates
The studio is available 24-7/365, except:
Monday-Saturday
11:30 am - 2 pm
4:30 pm - 8 pm
Sunday
4:30 pm - 8 pm
Weekend use must be booked by Friday at 4 p.m.
Six hour advance notice is required for same day booking.
If the Uplink is cancelled within 2 hours of hit or “on air” time (which is 1 hour prior to the crew arriving) the media outlet will have to pay $700.
The studio broadcast rate is $700 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Rates are billed in half-hour increments after the first hour. This rate includes the services of a Technical Director/Engineer and a Camera Operator. We do not provide makeup services.
