COLUMBIA, SC (February 9, 2024) – A Lowcountry woman couldn’t take her eyes off her winning lottery ticket.
The $200,000 prize sure was pretty.
The winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she was out running errands when she stopped by the Obama Quick Stop on Dorchester Rd. in North Charleston. Inside the store, she decided to try her luck on the $5 scratch-off.
“I just kept looking at it,” she said. “I was in shock.”
For selling the claimed ticket, Obama Quick Stop in North Charleston received a commission of $2,000.
No more top prizes of $200,000 remain in the Power Up! game at odds of 1 in 750,000.
