Upstate Lottery Winner’s Dancing a Jig

COLUMBIA, SC (June 17, 2020) – An Upstate lottery winner feels like dancing.

“I did a jig,” she told lottery officials to celebrate winning $200,000.

A combination of family birth dates that won her the Palmetto Cash 5 top prize on Thursday, May 28 (3 - 11 - 15 - 16 – 26) got her toes tapping. Because she “Powered-Up” for an additional $1, the $100,000 prize was multiplied to $200,000.

She says she picked up the winning lottery ticket and some groceries at the Bi-Lo #5661 at 120 Hwy. 14 in Simpsonville. The store will receive a $2,000 commission now that the prize has been paid.

The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 878,399.
