COLUMBIA, SC (September 5, 2025) – Powerball® is announcing a boost to the jackpot ahead tomorrow night’s billion-dollar drawing. Game leaders increased Saturday’s jackpot from $1.7 billion to an estimated $1.8 BILLION. The estimated cash value has grown to $826.4 million.
Saturday’s drawing will be for the second largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history, knocking on the door of the world record $2.04 billion Powerball® jackpot won in 2022.
South Carolinians interested in buying a Powerball® ticket must purchase their ticket by 9:59 p.m. for the drawing at 10:59. Tickets are $2 and available at most grocery stores and convenience stores in our state.
