COLUMBIA, SC (April 24, 2019) – A Charleston woman screamed when she won the Lottery, and then she cried.

“I cried all day,” she confessed to lottery officials when she cashed in her winning ticket.

Teary eyed she told how she was on her way home from grocery shopping when she stopped at the Hwy. 61 Exxon on Ashley River Rd. in Charleston to try her luck on a scratch-off. She screamed when she realized she’d won $125,000, and then came a rush of happy tears.

“It’s still unbelievable,” she said.

One top prize of $125,000 remains in the ($5) $125,000 Jackpot game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Hwy. 61 Exxon in Charleston received a commission of $1,250.
