Five South Carolina Education Lottery Powerball® players will be joining winners from other participating Powerball® states in Times Square vying for the $1 million prize. The SC trip winners were selected in a second-chance drawing held in October.
The Lottery caught up with the winners shortly after finding out they would be ringing in the New Year in New York City.
Donna Burke of West Columbia is packing goose downs and boots for the trip. Cynthia Crunkleton of Hartsville can’t believe she won. Edna Wright of Conway was just in Times Square and had a feeling she would be returning. Joyce Wilson of Anderson and Frankie Little of Columbia will be visiting the Big Apple for the first time.
ABC’s New Year’s Eve coverage begins at 8 p.m. The $1 million Powerball® winner will be revealed following the ball drop on January 1, 2020.
