COLUMBIA, SC (June 29, 2016) – It was sweet dreams for a Charleston couple that won $100,000 playing the South Carolina Education Lottery this week.

“And I’m still dreaming,” said the wife.

And so was her husband yesterday morning when she shook him awake to get up and get ready to go collect their winnings.

The wife told lottery officials that she bought the $5 ticket at the Lil Cricket 3864 on St. Andrews Blvd. in Charleston. She says she couldn’t decide what game to play, but finally settled on the winning $100,000 Extra Play ticket. Her husband couldn’t believe it when she told him the news.

“We passed the ticket back and forth and must have looked at it 100 times,” she said.

Now the couple is planning a nice vacation and to do some projects around the house.

The Charleston winner claimed the last top prize of $100,000 in the $100,000 Extra Play game, at odds of 1 in 480,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Lil Cricket 3864 in Charleston received a commission of $1,000.
