COLUMBIA, SC (July 19, 2012) – South Carolina Education Lottery numbers players are enjoying a streak of luck with no signs of letting up.
Last evening 2 – 2 – 2 was drawn by the Lottery, producing seven times the number of Pick 3 winners as yesterday’s midday drawing. Winning tickets amounted to more than $1.6 million with each winner taking home anywhere from $250 to $500.
Players are winning with wild combinations like 0 – 0 – 0, 1 – 2 – 3 and 2 – 2 – 2 – 2.
These four combinations drawn in less than two week’s time, has resulted in a payout in excess of $4.4 million in prizes, five times the sales for the three Pick 3 drawings and one Pick 4 drawing.
This week also saw a $250,000 Mega Millions® ticket sold by the “Obama Gas Station” in Columbia for Tuesday’s Mega Millions® drawing. For that same drawing, a Sumter couple, about to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary, won $40,000.
With a $110 MILLION Powerball® jackpot drawing Saturday night, numbers players are hoping their luck holds.
Players looking to take a chance on Saturday’s $110 million jackpot must purchase Powerball® tickets by 9:59 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $2 and available at lottery retailers statewide.
