COLUMBIA, SC (January 12, 2009) - For the second week in a row, a jackpot winning MegaMatch 6SM ticket has been sold for South Carolina's jackpot game, this time by a retailer in North Charleston. The $575,000 ticket was sold at Quick Pantry #9 located at 5830 Dorchester Road in North Charleston.

The winning ticket was purchased for the Friday, January 9 MegaMatch 6SM drawing. The winning numbers were 2, 11, 19, 28, 30, and 32. The winner has yet to come forward. More than 4,800 other prizes of between $7 to $5,000 were won in this drawing.

The Friday before, a jackpot winning ticket was sold in the Upstate. The winning MegaMatch 6SM jackpot ticket worth $800,000 has not been claimed. The ticket (4, 7, 17, 18, 25, and 28) was purchased at KMO #102 located at 4531 Hwy 29 North in Belton.

"Two jackpot wins within one week highlight the popularity of South Carolina's own jackpot game," Lottery's Chief Operating Officer Tony Cooper said. "MegaMatch 6SM is not even a year old and we have already awarded more than $14 million to players."

From 2002, more than $2 BILLION in lottery proceeds has been appropriated by the General Assembly to support education in the Palmetto State through 2009. In the year that ended June 30, 2008, more than 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the SCEL is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
