COLUMBIA, SC (September 6, 2024) – A Mount Pleasant lottery player asked for four different tickets, but when the clerk gave him two of the same one, he didn’t complain.

“They were busy in the store, and the clerk was flustered,” the winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials. “She pulled two tickets out of one slot, and turns out that was a lucky thing.”

That extra ticket he bought at the Circle K on W. Coleman Blvd. won him $300,000.

And while it’s crazy how he won, he says his family isn’t going to do anything silly with their winnings. “We are saving it,” he said.

One more top prize of $300,000 remain in Power 777 game at odds of 1 in 960,000.

Circle K #2720874 in Mount Pleasant received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
