COLUMBIA, SC (June 23, 2017) – A Rock Hill man scratched off a $250,000 lottery win while sipping his morning coffee.
“I thought I was still dreaming,” he said.
A few hours later he was turning in his winning Royal Win scratch-off at the Lottery’s claims center in Columbia. While waiting on the check, he texted friends and family the good news and reveled in the incoming texts congratulating him on the big win.
“This is life changing,” he said.
He’s taking his kids on a summer vacation and buying a new car.
Five top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $10 Royal Win game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Mr. Express Mart in Rock Hill received a commission of $2,500.
