Mega Millions® Climbs to $415 MILLION for Friday’s Draw

6/29/2016 9:10:00 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (June 29, 2016) – With no winner, the Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to $415 million for Friday's draw. Only three jackpots have been higher.

It's been almost three years since Mega Millions has reached this mark. In December of 2013, the jackpot was $648 million, only topped by a record $656 million jackpot won in March of 2012.

More than 43,000 players in South Carolina won prizes ranging anywhere from $1 to $5,000 in last night's drawing.

The Lottery is reporting steady sales in a state that has yet to bring home a Mega Millions® jackpot win.

To do so, a South Carolinian will have to overcome odds of 1 in 259 million to walk away with Friday night's $286 million cash payout.

Tickets are $1 and must be purchased by 10 p.m. for Friday's 11 p.m. drawing.

Mega Millions is currently played in 46 jurisdictions, 44 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Good luck, South Carolina!

Please, play responsibly.
