Kiawah Island Resort Hosts Lottery Winner

COLUMBIA, SC (July 21, 2014) – Steven Hussey’s summer vacation was perfect.

He went kayaking and bicycling, lounged on the beach, shopped and ordered room service.

And the Simpsonville resident didn’t have to travel far for the luxury treatment at one of South Carolina’s premier, oceanfront destinations—Kiawah Island.

Hussey and his wife have the South Carolina Education Lottery along with marine conservationist and artist Guy Harvey to thank for the trip.

Hussey won a relaxing stay at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort when one of the 4 non-winning Guy Harvey scratch-offs he entered online was selected in the Lottery’s second-chance drawing.

As for why he chose to play the Guy Harvey ticket, “I didn’t really know who he was,” confessed Hussey. “I just love a second chance to win.”

A final $100,000 cash prize drawing winner will be announced on Thursday, October 9. Enter non-winning Guy Harvey tickets online or by mail by Thursday, October 2, to be eligible.

Complete details on the Guy Harvey Second-Chance Promotion are at sceducationlottery.com.

Guy Harvey donated the licensing proceeds received for the Guy Harvey instant game to state conservation groups. About $225,000 was shared by the Coastal Conservation Association of South Carolina, the Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund, the S.C. Aquarium and the Dolphinfish Research Program.
