COLUMBIA, SC (April 13, 2011) – Takelia Pusha dreamed she was a millionaire.

Pusha told lottery officials she heard a report on the news about an Orangeburg woman scratching a lottery ticket and winning $1 million. When she closed her eyes that night she dreamed she scratched her own Carolina Millionaires Club ticket and won $1 million.

“When I woke up, I felt like I needed to get one of those tickets,” she said.

And that’s what the 18-year-old did.

She bought her first lottery ticket and won $100. This week she bought another Carolina Millionaires Club ticket and this time won $10,000.

“She’s lucky,” said the winner’s mom. “What can I say, I’m just excited for her.”

The Ladson teenager’s plans for the winnings might surprise you. She’s going to use the money to pay the rent on an apartment she shares with her mom.

As of today, two top prizes of $1 million remain in the Carolina Millionaires Club game along with 43 prizes of $10,000. The odds of winning the top prize: 1 in 1.2 million.

Sunoco Coop #2672 in North Charleston received $100, a 1 percent retailer commission, when the prize was claimed.
