WHO: Plez U Store #104’s lucky streak continues as South Carolina Education Lottery Executive Director Ernest L. Passailaigue, Jr. presents a check for $10,000 to the retailer for selling a recent $1 million winning Powerball® ticket.
WHAT: The $10,000 check is a one percent cash incentive the retailer receives for selling a redeemed winning lottery ticket. The Plez U Store #104 sold the winning match five Powerball® ticket for the Saturday, August 18 drawing. A Pendleton area woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, claimed the $1 million prize by matching all five white ball numbers and purchasing the PowerPlay® option which multiplied her $200,000 prize to $1 million. SCEL offers the one percent selling bonus on redeemed lottery tickets worth $10,000 or more. Selling bonuses are capped at $50,000.
