"X10" Promotion is for a limited time only.
Columbia, SC: Beginning March 2, 2006, South Carolina Powerball ® players who purchase the PowerPlay® option will have a chance to multiply their non-jackpot winnings by "10" to win prizes up to $2 million. The "10" multiplier will replace one of four "5" multiplier slots on the PowerPlay® wheel during the “X10” promotion until March 29, 2006, or until the “10” multiplier has been selected, which ever is later.
When the “10” multiplier is selected on the PowerPlay® wheel, all PowerPlay® prizes will be multiplied by ten (10) for players who have purchased the PowerPlay® option. Jackpot prizes are not eligible for multiplication.
Here’s how the “X10” promotion will work:
The first drawing with a “10” on the PowerPlay® wheel will be on Saturday, March 4, 2006. The promotion will run for at least eight draws (four weeks). The “10” multiplier could be drawn up to eight times during the promotion (once for each of the eight draws) and will be drawn at least once before the promotion ends. If the “10” multiplier is drawn during March, then the “X10” promotion will end on March 29, 2006. In the event a “10” multiplier has not been selected on the PowerPlay® wheel by March 29th, the “X10” promotion will continue until a “10” multiplier is drawn.
At the end of the promotion, the “10” multiplier will be replaced by a “5” multiplier on the PowerPlay® wheel.
