COLUMBIA, SC (June 6, 2023) – A Midlands man wasn’t a Luke Combs fan before he bought the country singer’s South Carolina Education Lottery ticket, but he is one now after winning $200,000.
“I didn’t know who Luke Combs was, but something told me to pick that ticket,” the winner told told lottery officials.
That ticket was a $5 Living Lucky with Luke Combs scratch-off, and the store he bought it at was the Jet Fuels at 3835 Charleston Hwy. in West Columbia.
“It was crazy, and it was amazing,” the winner said after cashing in his ticket.
He plans to spend the prize on his family.
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 750,000 to win $200,000 in the Living Lucky with Luke Combs game that has one more top prize available.
Jet Fuels in West Columbia received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
