COLUMBIA, SC (December 7, 2016) – A Pickens family is in the market for a new home this Christmas after Dad won $300,000 on a South Carolina Education Lottery ticket.

The $10 Mighty Jumbo Bucks scratch-off that Dad purchased at Blue Ridge Produce on Ann St. in Pickens is taking care of their mortgage.

“Wow!” was Dad’s reaction.

Mom was thrilled too.

The couple says they have outgrown their present home but couldn’t afford to move. Now they are putting together a wish list for the new place.

“Buying a house is the smartest thing we could do with this money,” the Dad said.

Two top prizes of $300,000 remain in the Mighty Jumbo Bucks game, at odds of 1 in 750,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Blue Ridge Produce in Pickens received a commission of $3,000.
