COLUMBIA, SC (May 10, 2017) – A lottery win brought sweet dreams for a McCormick lottery winner, who scratched off a $125,000 win from a ticket sold at the AM PM Food Store on Gold St.
“You’re a winner,” sang the machine when the clerk scanned the Money Mania ticket.
That night the winner decided to sleep on it, literally, tucking the winning ticket under her mattress.
She claimed her prize the next morning.
“It’s a blessing,” she shared with lottery officials.
AM PM Food Store in McCormick sold the winning ticket. Now that the prize is paid, the store receives a $1,250 commission.
Three top prizes of $125,000 remain in the $5 Money Mania game, at odds of 1 in 480,000.
