COLUMBIA, SC (May 9, 2017) – A Spartanburg woman won the Lottery on her way to Walmart.
The winner told lottery officials she stopped at the One Stop Shop on Blackstock Rd. in Moore and bought a $10 lottery ticket on her way to shop.
And winning a quarter-of-a-million dollars on the $250,000 Stacks scratch-off didn’t change her plans.
“I put the ticket in my bra and went in Walmart,” she said, where she grabbed a few items in the lawn and garden department.
Last week she took care of another chore, traveling to Columbia to cash in her $250,000 winning ticket.
“I’m happy,” she said. “Good deal.”
Three top prizes of $250,000 remain in the $250,000 Stacks game, at odds of 1 in 660,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, One Stop Shop in Moore received a commission of $2,500.
