COLUMBIA, SC (May 24, 2016) – A Bluffton lottery winner has made her decision.

She had two great options. Either take $25,000 a year for LIFE or take a one-time cash payment of $390,000. After a lot of thought, the Lucky for Life winner chose the $390,000.

“It’s nice,” she said, pleased with her choice and the big win.

She cashed in the winning Lucky for Life ticket yesterday, one week after buying it while grocery shopping at the Publix in Hardeeville. The ticket matched the first five numbers drawn 20, 29, 30, 42, and 44 but missed the Lucky Ball number “14” in the Monday, May 16, 2016 drawing.

“I can’t think of anything I really want,” she said.

So she is going to surprise her children and share the win with them.

The odds of winning $25,000 a year for life are 1 in 1,813,028.

For selling the winning Lucky for Life ticket, the Publix Super Market #1354 in Hardeeville received a $3,900 commission once it was claimed.

Lucky for Life is a multi-state game offered in 19 states and the District of Columbia. Tickets cost $2 with drawings on Mondays and Thursdays. In addition to the $25,000 a year for life prize, players can also win $1,000 a day for life.
