COLUMBIA, SC (May 3, 2016) – A Pamplico woman thought she had a losing lottery ticket, but she was wrong.
Convinced she didn’t win, she threw her Cash Money scratch-off in the driver’s door compartment, but two hours later something told her to take a closer look at the ticket.
“Oh my, oh my,” she screamed when she realized the ticket was indeed a $100,000 winner.
“I usually tear up my tickets and throw them away when I lose,” she said, relieved that wasn’t the case this time.
The winner says the roller coaster of emotions, thinking she’d lost, finding out she won and then realizing she could have thrown away $100,000 was worth it in the end.
“I’m blessed,” she said.
Two top prizes of $100,000 remain in the $5 Cash Money game, at odds of 1 in 480,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Breakers 179 in Florence received a commission of $1,000.
