A Do Over Wins Bennettsville Woman $100,000 Grand Prize

COLUMBIA, SC (September 28, 2015) – A yearlong promotion from the South Carolina Education Lottery has come to an end with a Bennettsville woman winning the $100,000 grand prize.

“I cried,” the winner said, when she heard.

She started entering non-winning $1 and $2 scratch-offs online when the Instant Replay Second-Chance Promotion began in October of last year. Each month 425 winners won either cash prizes or points redeemable for merchandise from the Lottery’s Prize Store. That amounted to $429,000 in cash won and 4,620 players winning points used to purchase anything from electronics to jewelry to apparel.

Players have until Monday, March 21, 2016 to redeem any points remaining. Remember to allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of an order. Prize points expire on Monday, March 21, 2016 at midnight.

The promotion dubbed a “Do Over” in advertising was popular, capturing more than 5 million entries for Wednesday’s grand prize draw.

Odds of winning the $100,000 grand prize were 1 in 5,157,588.
