COLUMBIA, SC (October 13, 2014) – Just for fun, two friends played the Lottery at the Mini Mart on E. Liberty St. in York.

The friend whose idea it was to buy tickets won $10, while her friend won $200,000.

“We’ve been laughing, crying, and hugging,” said the winner’s friend when the ladies cashed in the ticket last week.

“I think I’m numb,” the winner said.

So her friend did most of the talking and brought up the copper penny used to scratch the winning Cash Money ticket.

“She told me, ‘I’m going to save this penny forever,’” the winner’s friend said. “This morning when I picked her up she couldn’t find it.”

They’ll look for it later, after they go shopping.

As of this release, two top prizes of $200,000 remains in the $10 Cash Money game. The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Mini Mart in York received a $2,000 commission.
