COLUMBIA, SC (March 1, 2012) – A Union woman has found her dream home.

“I’ve wanted a house for the longest time,” the first-time homebuyer shared.

Mark it sold.

A $100,000 taxes paid scratch-off ticket will get her the keys.

The winner told lottery officials she was shocked when she beat the 1 in 500,000 odds on the $5 Instant Carolina 5 scratch-off to win the $100,000 taxes paid prize. She called her mom screaming.

“I’m just excited,” she said.

As of this release, five top prizes of $100,000 taxes paid remain in the Instant Carolina 5 game.

Kelly One Stop in Union received a commission of $1,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.6 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
