COLUMBIA, SC (November 3, 2011) – This lady is hard to read. When she won the Lottery, she didn’t even crack a smile.

“I know it doesn’t show, but I’m excited and grateful,” she said.

The $200,000 winner, from Summerville, told lottery officials her son drove her straight to Columbia to collect her winnings for a Triple Wild Winner scratch-off. The pair made plans as they drove.

“I told my son we would spend it before we got here,” she said.

She’s not bluffing on that point. A new roof, a new car, and a donation to the church are planned.

Without so much as a grin, she added, “it was fun.”

As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $10 Triple Wild Winner game.

The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 500,000.

OK Checks Services LLC in Summerville received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than 932,000 college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.5 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
