$2 MILLION Powerball® Ticket Sold in Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC (April 9, 2012) – A Powerball® ticket worth $2 MILLION was purchased from Alhanik LLC at 5831 N. Main St. in Columbia Saturday last night’s drawing.

The ticket sold in Columbia matched all five white ball numbers drawn. The ticket holder purchased PowerPlay® for an extra $1, to have the $1 million prize increase to $2 MILLION.

The estimated Powerball® jackpot for Wednesday, April 11, is $94 million.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
