COLUMBIA, SC (November 8, 2012) – A North Carolina man has a knack for winning the Lottery in South Carolina.

He’s amassed a few $1,000 wins, two $10,000 wins and last week won $200,000.

Retired from the Air Force, the winner drove the short distance from his home in Rowland, NC, across state lines to Dillon where he bought the winning ticket at Waynes BP. He returned to South Carolina the following day to collect his winnings.

He told lottery officials he plans to surprise his wife that evening with the check.

“I always thought I was lucky before the Lottery came along,” he said eager to share the news with his family in North Carolina. “I have a great family, and they are my main priority.”

As of this release, two top prizes remain in the Aces High game. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 462,857.14.

For selling the claimed ticket, Waynes BP LLC in Dillon received a commission of $2,000.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.9 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
