COLUMBIA, SC (December 16, 2010) – While out running a few errands, an Elloree woman treated herself to a lottery ticket.
“Make it a winner,” she told the clerk handing her the ticket.
Her request was granted.
She scratched the Stacks of Cash ticket as she drove home. By the time her driveway was in sight she knew what she had. She pulled in and hopped out of the car screaming. She won $200,000.
She decided to sleep on it, literally, tucking the winning ticket under her mattress.
The winner, who did not want to release her name, claimed her prize this morning. She spoke of paying off her car, starting a home remodeling project and planning a cruise.
“What a blessing,” she shared with lottery officials.
Quick Pantry #12 in Elloree sold the winning ticket and received $2,000. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent retailer commission, capped at $50,000.
