Lottery-funded scholarships and grants are awarded to students who are South Carolina residents attending eligible in-state public and independent colleges and universities. The South Carolina Education Lottery neither administers nor awards lottery-funded scholarships and grants.
Lottery appropriations fund scholarships and grants in a wide range of categories. They include the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, LIFE Scholarship, S.C. HOPE Scholarship, Needs-Based Grants, Lottery Tuition Assistance, and the National Guard College Assistance Program.
