COLUMBIA, SC (June 4, 2008) – How about some cool cash to give you chills at the Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival 2008? The South Carolina Education Lottery is one of the sponsors for this year’s sizzling event and will be selling a full array of lottery tickets on Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The the Lottery will showcase its Summer Escape™ 2008 Promotion featuring Air Escape, Land Escape and Sea Escape games, all packed with travel-themed prizes and cash.
At the festival, a $10 lottery purchase will allow players to spin the prize wheel for great promotional items including T-shirts, sunglasses, koozies and much more! Players in attendance can also enter a second-chance drawing for a chance to win one of two Air Escape prizes featuring 50,000 airline miles courtesy of US Airways and other prize packages. The drawing will take place that afternoon for players in the audience.
The Sun Fun Festival also includes plenty of tasty treats, live music and sensational celebrities. The event is located at Grand Park at the former Air Force Base.
Since its inception in 2002, the South Carolina Education Lottery has launched more than 270 instant games and six online games. Currently, SCEL offers 39 instant games and five online games. SCEL produces an average of four new games each month in a variety of themes, play styles, and price points of $1-$10. During the past six years, the support the South Carolina Education Lottery has received from players and retailers is responsible for the General Assembly appropriating more than $1.74 billion for educational purposes through fiscal year 2008.
