COLUMBIA,
SC (November 4, 2022) – Strong
ticket sales leading up to Saturday night’s Powerball® drawing have pushed the jackpot to $1.6 BILLION, a new world record.
That’s $782 million in cash to whoever can stop this
jackpot run that began in early August. Saturday’s drawing will mark the 40th
draw in the run, the longest run until a winner is 41.
The
Lottery has a message for those looking to win the $1.6 billion prize: It only takes one ticket.

jackpot won back in January of 2016.
