SC Lottery Teams Up with Carolina & Clemson on First Scratch-offs

COLUMBIA, SC (August 23, 2022) – The Palmetto State rivalry has made its way on to a lottery ticket. And, the South Carolina Education Lottery is inviting Carolina and Clemson fans to choose a side. Carolina Jackpot and Clemson Jackpot tickets go on sale today.

Bragging rights on these $5 scratch-offs could be worth as much as $200,000!

And, fans can enter their tickets in the Lottery’s Rival Play Second-Chance Promotion for a chance to win up to $15,000 in cash or a season ticket package.

The printing of two million plus Carolina Jackpot and Clemson Jackpot tickets marks an historic first for both the Lottery and our state’s two largest public universities, the University of South Carolina and Clemson University.

Since the Lottery started 20 years ago, proceeds from ticket sales have meant deserving students at both universities have benefited from more than 350,000 lottery-funded scholarships and grants. In total, education in South Carolina has benefited from $7.2 billion in lottery funds.

Sales of these new tickets are estimated to generate an additional $4 million for education.

Carolina Jackpot and Clemson Jackpot scratch-offs are available at most grocery stores and convenience stores in our state. Overall odds are 1 in 3.96. Top prize odds are 1 in 720,000.

About the Rival Play Second-Chance Promotion: Players can enter WINNING and NON-WINNING Carolina Jackpot and Clemson Jackpot tickets into this promotion for a chance to win up to $15,000 in cash or a season ticket package. Six cash prize winners will be selected to scratch an oversized ticket at either a Carolina or Clemson football, basketball or baseball game to find out how much they’ve won. The first two prize reveals will be at the Tennessee vs. South Carolina football game in Columbia and the South Carolina vs. Clemson football game in Clemson. Four Carolina season ticket packages and four Clemson season ticket packages will also be awarded to winners in this promotion.
