COLUMBIA, SC (July 15, 2022) – A Midlands woman bought three lottery tickets and the first one she scratched won her $30,000.
“I started hollering,” she told South Carolina Education Lottery officials describing the moment she won big.
She picked out the winning ticket at the H & E Mart LLC at 3016 N. Beltline Blvd. in Columbia.
The winner did not wish to be identified but did share her plans for her prize.
“I game some to my church, spent some and I’m saving the rest for a rainy day,” she said.
The win leaves three top prizes of $30,000 in the Carolina Gold 20X game at odds of 1 in 528,000.
H & E Mart LLC in Columbia received a commission of $300 for selling the claimed ticket.
