COLUMBIA, SC (June 23, 2022) – Home improvement projects are in a Sumter lottery player’s future following a $30,000 win off a $2 ticket.
She picked out the Carolina Gold 20X ticket at the S and S Tobacco Store on Myrtle St. in Sumter and took it home to scratch.
She says she didn’t expect to win a top prize, but when she did it felt great.
“It’s a blessing,” she said.
The Sumter winner, who dos not wish to be identified, left three top prizes of $30,000 in the Carolina Gold 20X game at odds of 1 in 528,000.
S and S Tobacco Store in Sumter received a commission of $300 for selling the claimed ticket.
