COLUMBIA, SC (June 8, 2022) – A Bluffton lottery winner is taking a trip that is 20 years overdue.
“I’m going to see my parents,” he said.
The winner’s mom and dad live in another country, and he hasn’t been able to visit them. But, that’s about to change thanks to a $300,000 win on a scratch-off that he purchased at the Parkers convenience store at 1286 Fording Island Rd.
He can’t wait for the reunion.
“I’m so happy,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials after cashing in the big win. “I’m very blessed to have bought that ticket.”
The winner overcame odds of 1 in 900,000 to leave one top prize of $300,000 remaining in the $300 Grand ticket.
Parkers #38 in Bluffton received a commission of $3,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
