COLUMBIA, SC (May 6, 2021) – A Midlands woman says divine intervention played a role in her $100,000 lottery win.
She says something told her to stop what she was doing and go and buy a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket. She turned her car around and drove to Tanners on Alex Harvin Hwy. in Manning and bought a quick pick ticket right before sales cut off for that evening’s drawing.
She didn’t have to wait long for the results on April 10 (21 - 30 - 33 - 35 - 37).
“I checked my ticket and threw my hands up,” the winner told lottery officials, when she saw the numbers on her ticket were a perfect match. “I’m a winner!”
For selling the claimed ticket, Tanners in Manning received a commission of $1,000.
The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.
