COLUMBIA, SC (February 10, 2021) – A Midlands man was having an average day until he bought a lottery ticket and won $150,000.
“It was a regular day,” he told South Carolina Education Lottery officials, until thirsty, he stopped by the Sai Shop on the Charleston Hwy. in West Columbia and left the store with a drink and a $5 scratch-off.
The winner says he wasn’t feeling especially lucky when he took a chance on the Giant Jumbo Bucks scratch-off, but is thankful for the win.
“I said ‘Thank You,’ when I saw how much I won,” he said.
One top prize of $150,000 remains in the Giant Jumbo Bucks game at odds of 1 in 600,000.
Sai Shop in West Columbia received a commission of $1,500 for selling the claimed ticket.
