COLUMBIA, SC (October 14, 2020) – A Florence $250,000 lottery winner is one cool customer.

You’d expect screams, tears and possibly cheers after winning a quarter-of-a-million dollar lottery prize. But not from this guy.

“I kept my composure,” he said. “I didn’t get excited.”

Maybe that was because he saw it coming. The winner told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that before buying the $250,000 Cash Bonus ticket at Ken’s Corner on Pamplico Hwy. in Florence he had a feeling that ticket was going to be a big winner.

He was right. And now he’s house hunting.

The Florence winner overcame odds of 1 in 685,714.29 to win $250,000 in the ($10) $250,000 Cash Bonus game. Three top prizes remain in the game.

Ken’s Corner in Florence received a commission of $2,500 for selling the claimed ticket.
